Watch: Julian Edelman And Danny Amendola Workout Together In Miami

Danny Amendola may be out of New England but he loves spending time with his former teammates, including Julian Edelman. The receivers were spotted in Miami, Florida, and they sure enjoy doing some offseason training together.

Edelman came off an excellent Super Bowl performance. Amendola was released by the Miami Dolphins. The Detroit Lions signed him to a one-year deal worth $4.5 million. Both receivers will have to work extra hard with their teams, and it seems like they have started off their preparation. They shared clips of themselves doing routes.

Amendola signed with the patriots in 2013. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady relied heavily on both receivers. Amendola and Edelman parted ways at the same moment Jules came back from his torn ACL. In 2018, Danny played in 15 games and totaled 59 receptions for 575 yards and a touchdown. He is expected to do the same with the Lions and Matt Patricia.

“Just my relationship with Coach Patricia,” Amendola told reporters when asked what led him to sign with Detroit in free agency. “The experiences we’ve had together and what we’ve gone through, and just that excitement is mutual. So I’m excited to be here, exited to get started and looking forward to getting to work.”

The Patriots like Amendola, and head coach Bill Belichick was amazed with his work.

“I love Danny,” Bill Belichick said last offseason. “He did a great job for us. Great competitor. Played a lot of different roles. Tremendous person. I wish him well in the opportunity he has, other than the times we play him. I love everything that Danny brought to the team in the five years he was with us.”

“I’m happy for those guys,” TB12 said. “Usually when you leave it’s because you get good opportunities in other places. I’m generally frustrated about football in general because it’s a frustrating sport. I’m certainly happy for guys when they do well.”
