Watch: Kyrie Irving Speaks About LeBron’s Criticism Of The Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James don’t really have a chance to make the playoffs, and every game is a complete disaster. The team has lost five games in a row and seven of the last eight matchups. The Saturday night’s 120-107’s loss to the Boston Celtics was the last bullet they were hit with.

The Lakers are still alive, but things don’t look really great for them. They have 16 games left to play, but their chance to make the playoffs is really slim.

“I feel for him,” Irving said after Boston’s win at Staples Center. “Obviously just missing a lot of time, as well as Brandon Ingram. But Bron as always been a championship contender. An he’s such a great player, such a great teammate. When you’re not eligible to qualify for the playoffs, it’s hard, I can only imagine. Like I said, I feel for him.”

“I feel for him. I really do. I feel for him,” Irving told The Athletic. “I’m very empathetic towards it because how much he wanted to play during that time when he messed up his groin.”

Irving feels sympathy for LeBron and his team. The Lakers made the postseason in each of the last 13 seasons. It seems like LeBron will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2004-05, and that will happen for the second season in his career.

This will also mean an end to LeBron’s run of eight consecutive trips to the Finals. Irving was LeBron’s teammate for three of those appearances with the Cavaliers in 2015-17, including the championship they won in 2016.

Let’s see if the Lakers will have more luck in the next few games. Things better take the right turn. But, let’s just wait and see what happens next. Good luck, LeBron.
