Watch: LeBron Makes Bold Statement About ‘Villain’ Anthony Davis Post Trade Fiasco

The Los Angeles Lakers will keep trying to land Anthony Davis this summer. The New Orleans Pelicans did not accept Magic Johnson’s massive offer before the trade deadline, and that’s when they made a big mistake. Johnson offered almost half of his team in an effort to get Davis, but it did not work. The Pelicans will have to accept much less this summer, because everything points to the fact that Davis wants to go to Los Angeles.

Why did the Pelicans turn down the attractive offer? Maybe they were just punishing the Lakers for their tampering efforts this season. LeBron James needs another superstar on the team, and Anthony Davis is a nice fit.

Davis requested a trade, but his wish did not come true. The Pelicans are now protecting him from injuries, because an injured star has low value on the trade market. Playing smart, huh?

Davis and Antonio Brown went on The Shop, and talked about some of the topics related to their professional career. LeBron compared both players, and found a few similarities in their case.

Pelicans fans wanted to punish Davis for submitting a trade request, and the team gave him restricted minutes. LeBron knows that really happened in New Orleans. He criticized the media and the league for changing the narrative about Davis. Fans loved him for 7 years, but now go against everything he has accomplished.

“AD’s in the league for 7 years……Nobody has said anything negative about AD,” LeBron said. “You can tell the narrative changes when you don’t do what they want you to do.”

“That’s the narrative they try to create once you doing your own thing,” Brown added. “It’s like, this guy’s a distraction. He’s this type of guy. All I’ve ever been is a guy who came from Central Michigan, 6th round, who worked his ass off.”
