Report: LeBron James Told To Recruit Surprise Star This Summer

The Los Angeles Lakers had terrible season, and they are off to signing a big name this summer. Many are convinced that LeBron James will have a huge role in the process. Who is coming to Los Angeles?

Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Kawhi Leonard are some of the names mentioned in rumors. Jimmy Butler and Klay Thompson were also mentioned. However, Lakers legend Byron Scott says the team should go with Kemba Walker. According to him Walker will be the best addition to the Lakers.

Walker will probably leave his team, the Charlotte Hornets as they will probably miss the playoffs again. He may get a supermax contract worth $221 million or  five-year deal worth $190 million.

If Walker decides to leave the team, the best offer he will be given is $141 million. Things have changed a lot in the past decade. Players are more interested in joining a contender than earning some more money. If Walker becomes available, the Lakers will have to compete with a bunch of teams who would go for his service.

When asked about his opinion on Walker and his future, Scott said he better joins the Lakers.

“The Lakers,” he said on ESPN’s The Jump. “Give me Kemba alongside LeBron James. Just look at this year in particular.

“When LeBron went out, we know what this man can do, he can get you 40. With the young players the Lakers have, they would have been able to survive that 18-game stretch when LeBron was out. Throughout history we’ve seen LeBron play and when he has a sidekick like that – a guy like Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Dwyane Wade – guys who can break you down on the dribble, get baskets off their own, but also can facilitate and get other people baskets, he’s been extremely successful. I think if you don’t get Kyrie or any other one of those guys, Kemba Walker would be a perfect fit here in L.A.”

Let’s see what happens with the Lakers roster this summer. LeBron would play well with each of the players he was related to. Who is signing with LA?
