Lonzo Ball Releases Emotional Statement On The Opportunity To Play With LeBron

LeBron James came to Los Angeles to win some games, and he joined a team based on a young core. People started talking about his chemistry with the younger teammates, but LeBron didn’t have too many problems. Moreover, everything goes well between him and his teammates, including Lonzo Ball. If you ask him, he will say that playing alongside LeBron was a “dream come true.”

In his debut season with the Lakers, LeBron averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists. Unfortunately, LeBron and his team will miss the playoffs. When asked about his season with the king, Ball said, “It was a dream come true for me. Watching him my whole life, it was everything I thought it would be. He’s not only a great basketball player but a great person. I looked at him like a big brother.”

The Lakers had really good game before LeBron’s groin strain. He missed 17 games due to that injury, and the Lakers lost every chance to make the playoffs. They were missing key players, and Lonzo had a terrible ankle sprain.

“Obviously it’s been a long process,” Ball added. “It’s finally starting to show some great progress, coming along. Hopefully just a few more weeks and then I can go out there.”

Ball also talked about the resignation of Magic Johnson.

“It shocked me, like it did the rest of the world,” he said. “It’s what’s best for him. I wish him the best. He drafted me, and this is better for his life. This is what he wants to do, and I’m behind him 100 per cent.”

LeBron had a really good year with Ball, too. He even helped Ball with his financial problems at Big Baller.

“Whatever the kid decides to do, whatever brand he comes with next — if it’s with Nike, obviously we would welcome him,” LeBron said. “I love the fact that he’s taking control of his [stuff]. I mean… that’s what’s really, really dope to me. Once I saw that story, I just seen a kid turning into a man. ‘This is my career and I’m taking this… I done had enough. If I’m not going to be successful, I’m not going to be successful on my terms.’”
