Josh Gordon Reacts To Chris Hogan’s Signing With Panthers

Chris Hogan left the New England Patriots after a successful season, and that wasn’t the best scenario Pats hoped for. But, every detail of their negotiations suggested that Hogan may ink a detail with a different team. Josh Gordon reacted to his one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers.

Hogan put an end of his three-season tenure with Tom Brady and the rest of the guys.

“It’s a business. I can’t read too much into it,” Chris Hogan said of the team not re-signing him. “At the end of the day, they’re trying to run the team as best as they see fit. Sometimes things don’t work out. I’m just really excited about this opportunity.”

Gordon took to his Instagram account to express his feelings about Gordon’s departure.

“Love your hustle, love your grind brotha…” he wrote.

It’s interesting how Hogan signed with another team. He really liked the Pats and everything about the team.

“I think you’re just being a competitor,” Hogan said of the Patriots. “You want to go out there and do what’s best for the team and help your team move the ball down the field, make plays and help them win football games. It’s all about opportunities in this league, and when you get the opportunities in this league, you just have to make the most of them. Because of what we’ve done in the past, how hard we’ve worked on the passing game and obviously the guy who’s leading us with the ball. We have all the faith in the world in him. I’m just really proud of this team and the way that we fought today. It wasn’t perfect, it never is, but everyone really worked hard and came out here and played a good football game.”

Brady liked him, too. He said, “He’s working his tail off. The fourth-down play at the end of the game when Logan Ryan knocked it over on Julian, Chris ran a great route and beat Malcolm. I had a chance to throw it down the sidelines, but I was kind of focused on Julian. There’s different times when he gets opportunities and he does a great job for us. Everyone has to get targets and looks. He hasn’t gotten as many as he would like. I have to figure out a way to get the ball to everybody, so that we can all make plays. When everyone is making plays, I think our offense is tough to stop. That will certainly be something we focus on and make sure everyone is getting looks that they deserve and go make the plays when we get them.”
