Demaryius Thomas Racts To Joining Patriots With Epic Instagram Post

The New England Patriots are fortifying their receiving unit, and Demaryius Thomas was the last addition. The team signed Thomas Tuesday, and it was a moment worth sharing.

On his way to New England, Thomas made a stop with the Houston Texans late last season. He spent most of his career with the Denver Broncos. Thomas will be given a big role in New England, and he is planned to provide some depth to the unit.

The Patriots confirmed the deal Tuesday, and Thomas shared the big info on Wednesday. He posted a photoshopped image of himself wearing a Patriots uniform. It seems like Thomas is really happy with the change he was given.

Thomas had excellent seasons with the Broncos, but also suffered an Achilles injury. Will the Patriots get him in full shape? Let’s hope so. The team will need all the potential they can get. Signing the wrong player is an unacceptable scenario for head coach Bill Belichick.

The Patriots had already tried to trade for Thomas before the trade deadline, but their plan didn’t work.

Thomas was traded to the Texans last season. He had 50 receptions for 677 yards and five touchdowns. In 2017, Thomas had 83 receptions for 949 yards and five touchdowns. during his professional career, the player had 688 receptions in the regular season and 9,330 yards and 62 touchdowns. In the playoffs, Thomas had 53 receptions for 759 yards and three touchdowns. The Patriots will need these numbers to be as great as they used to be in 2018.

New England has already signed a few players, and Belichick is focused on young talents who may bring fresh power in the team. Rob Gronkowski is gone, and Chris Hogan left the team in free agency. Cordarrelle Patterson did the same thing. The Patriots thought that these two will explore the opportunities and come back to Foxboro, but they accepted the offers of other teams. So, Belichick is now after other players to fill in the empty positions, and he always knows how to do the math. He won’t let great talents slip down his hands.
