Watch: Belichick And Patriots Players Received Massive Ovation At Celtics Game

The Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers had the Game 2 of the first round series, and the game was really awesome. TD Garden was on fire, and the players did an incredible job. However, there was something else that caught everyone’s attention. The New England Patriots. The Celtics fans are always happy when they see familiar faces on the field. The Boston Celtics tried to take a 2-0 series lead with the support of Patriots head coach, Julian Edelman, Devin and Jason McCourty and Duron Harmon.

TD Garden turned into a volcano of excitement when the Patriots were shown on the jumbotron. It was amazing and emotional!

Edelman did his regular thing. he looked right at the camera and yelled, “Let’s go!” As you may be guessing, the ovations reached their highest peak at the very same moment Belichick appeared on the big screen.

This won’t be the last appearance of the Patriots at a Celtics playoff game in the postseason.

Edelman shares a very special bond with Celtics star Kyrie Irving. He even had a customized Irving jersey. Having a customized jersey is quite a trend in Boston, and that’s Edelman’s way of supporting his favorite basketball player. The Patriots receiver wore a No. 11 Boston Celtics jersey during the press conference after the team’s win over the Indianapolis Colts last season. Yes, that’s Irving’s number.

Irving was amazed with Edelman’s gesture, and even wanted to get his own No. 11 Patriots jersey with his name written on the back.

“It passed by me before it got to him,” the Celtics star said of Edelman’s customized jersey. “I’m appreciative of him. He’s a great person. Hopefully, I’ll ask the Patriots if they can give me a No. 11 jersey with my name on the back, just like Edelman. That’d be nice.”

The Celtics will have a lot to do during the playoffs, and we bet that Julian Edelman will attend almost every game his team plays. Of course, he will be super busy with the team this offseason, but we believe that the wideout won’t miss a good basketball game.
