New England Patriots Select Receiver With 32nd Pick In NFL Draft

The New England Patriots made a big choice in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The team selected former Arizona State wide receiver N’Keal Harry with the 32nd pick.

Harry is 6-foot-4, 213 lbs and he can outrun everyone on the field. He is able to get out of his breaks quickly and change directions without any problem. The Sun Devils used his skills in screens. Harry may not be the best blocker and sometimes allows the ball to get into his body rather than striking it with his hands. harry had some drops in his career and he is also related to other inconsistencies. Moreover, his game against Arizona in 2018 was awful.

The Arizona native had 58 receptions for 659 yards and five touchdowns. The following year, he marked 83 receptions for 1,142 yards and eight touchdowns. During his last year, he had 73 receptions for 1,088 yards and nine touchdowns.

Out fo Chandler High School in Arizona, Ferrell was rated a .9736 by the 247Sports Composite. He was the nation’s No. 7 wide receiver and the No. 53 player overall. The receiver had offers from Wisconsin, USC, Oregon, Washington, Texas A&M and a few other teams.

The New England Patriots came fresh off of their championship win over the Los Angeles Rams in February. The team entered the 2019 NFL Draft tied for a league-high of twelve picks. Six of those picks are inside the first 101. The Patriots have a first rounder at No. 32 overall, and the team also owns a couple of second rounders, three third round picks, a fourth, a sixth and four seventh rounders this draft.

The Patriots entered the year with their main focus set on the offensive sife of the ball. Rob Gronkowski decided to retire, and Chris Hogan and Cordarrelle Patterson left the team in free agency. Harry sure comes handy at this point, and he should play smart. The team should focus on building the offensive line and include Harry’s potential in it.

Things are looking really great for the Patriots at the moment. What will happen next?
