NFL Media Reacts To Patriots Selecting Receiver N’Keal Harry

The New England Patriots got themselves a brand new receiver. During the opening round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Patriots used the No. 32 overall selection on wide receiver N’Keal Harry out of Arizona State. The big receiver added nice depth to the Patriots’ receiving unit. He will probably be given a role on the roster. Harry met with the team prior to the NFL Draft, and there was a built knowledge on the receiver’s skills. He will be able to call Foxboro home for the next few seasons.

Harry was a stud for the Sun Devils during his collegiate career as he used his big range to work in the red zone. He was also an inside receiver. They don’t play the same role, and adding player like Harry will help the Patriots make a step forward after Rob Gronkowski’s resignation.

There were so many reactions after the Patriots’ move. Mike Reiss was among the first to react to the addition of Harry. He wrote, “Patriots select Arizona State WR N’Keal Harry at No. 32. Bigger-bodied receiver who addresses No. 1 need.”

“Harry is a 6-foot-2 receiver, who caught 73 passes for 1,088 yards and seven touchdowns last season for Arizona State. Harry had a predraft visit with the Patriots,” Mark Danniels added.

The Patriots were determined in their decision, and had clear interest in Harry. They didn’t even care what other teams thought. “Caserio on the trade action that went on in picks just ahead of Patriots: Didn’t really have any relevance of what we were going to do,” Ryan Hannable reported.

Harry will be offered a big deal as reported by Ben Volin. He wrote, “Harry’s draft slot should mean a four-year deal around $10.5 million (about $9m guaranteed), plus a fifth-year team option.”

Harry is exactly what the Patriots needed. He is a dynamic, big-bodied receiver.

James Christensen reported, “N’Keal Harry! Dude is a specimen that can do things that our current WR corps – save for Josh Gordon – just can’t do.”

Is Harry the right player to be added to the roster? Of course he is.
