Lonzo Ball Reveals Major Details About Lakers-Cavs Postgame Chat With LeBron James

Lonzo Ball and LeBron James have been making headlines for quite some time, and the whole thing started during the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron pulled Ball aside for a postgame chat, and they even covered their mouths with their jerseys. LeBron’s free agency added fuel to the fire, and he inked a deal with the Lakers right away.

What did they talk about? Lonzo talked about the postgame chat during his appearance on the House of Highlights Show. He said that was the first time he had ever spoken with LeBron. Why did they cover their mouths?

“People can blow things out of proportion, so we did it just to be safe … I didn’t say too many words, so I mean I didn’t really have to do it, but he did it, so I did it. It was one of those things,” Lonzo said.

“I mean it really didn’t hit me until I got to the locker room like ‘I just talked to my idol.’ I just watched him my whole life, so it was crazy. Like I said, it was great and then we get to become teammates… even crazier.”

Lonzo was pretty happy with the idea of playing on the same team with King James.

“It was a dream come true for me,” Ball said. “Watching him my whole life, it was everything I thought it would be. He’s not only a great basketball player but a great person. I looked at him like a big brother.”

The young Laker found about LeBron’s contract on social media.

“I had a good feeling,” Ball said. “I found on Twitter just like everybody else. And I just looked at my phone that was going crazy. Everybody was telling me I was teammates with LeBron. I looked up Woj and it was on there, and there it was.”

He even revealed the advice LeBron gave him. Lonzo said, “He tells me ‘keep the main thing the main thing.’ He tells me that every day. Basically saying basketball is how you eat, how you feed your family and everything. As long as you put that first, everything’s going to work out. He tells me that every day.”
