Charles Barkley Insults LeBron James About Missing The Playoffs With Ridiculous Invitation

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are still making headlines, and this time it’s the king and Charles Barkley.

Barkley likes to discuss the Lakers and their star player, but this time he took things a bit too far. He went places he shouldn’t even think of, and let’s just say that LeBron didn’t like it. Barkley asked LeBron to join his team and be part of “Inside the NBA.” The Lakers may be missing the playoffs, but that doesn’t mean that LeBron has nothing to do.

LeBron James, come into the studio. You ain’t got nothing to do,” Barkley said Sunday night. “I know you’ve got to pick a head coach and a general manager. Just put that on the backburner.”

This is not the first time Barkley talks negatively about the Lakers. The whole thing started pas summer when the Lakers announced the arrival of LeBron. Barkley was the first to say that the team won’t win.

“They’re No. 5 seed, maybe six in the West,” he said in July. “I don’t think they’re better than Oklahoma City, I don’t think they’re better than the Denver Nuggets. The Rockets to me are the surprising team because I think they have regressed. I’m a big Trevor Ariza fan … Minnesota’s better than the Lakers. As great as LeBron is — I see them as the 4, 5, 6 seed. The West is unbelievable. He (LeBron) got 20 easy wins the last few years. He won’t get those easy 20 wins in the Western Conference.

“They got a long way to go. It’s going to be interesting [to see] what Magic [Johnson] is going to be able to do. It’s going to be interesting… I think everybody assumed LeBron was going to the Lakers. He’s older, he wants to be probably in the sunshine to finish up his career. LeBron to me was the easy piece. Now comes the hard piece.”

When it comes to the Anthony Davis saga, Barkley predicted that the Lakers will have a rather hilarious summer, adding that the Lakers may compete with the Clippers as both teams have two max slots available. He didn’t fail to mention that the Knicks and Nets also have a chance to sign Davis.
