Jets’ QB Sam Darnold Releases Groundbreaking Statement About New England Patriots

The New York Jets aren’t really fans of the New England Patriots, and they a few big reasons to feel that way. The Jets improved  a lot this season, and signed running back Le’Veon Bell and linebacker C.J. Mosley. But, Sam Darnold was the best of them all.

The quarterback knows what it takes to become champions. The Patriots won six Lombardi Trophies in the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era. Are they ready for the next championship win? you can bet they are.

“I’m just going to go out and do my best,” the quarterback said when asked about finally surpassing the Patriots. “I feel like literally in my lifetime, the Patriots have ended up on top. So, I’m just going to go out there and do my job. I’m never counting anyone out, honestly. Not just the Patriots, but every team that we play in the league.”

Since Darnold’s birth, the Patriots have won 17 division titles, and 10 straight. From 2001 to present, the Patriots won 16 of a possible 17 AFC East titles. Imagine that! They finished second the other two times and didn’t have a record worse than 9-7 (2002) since head coach Bill Belichick had his first season with the team in 2000.

Tom Brady is still on the team, and Belichick is still the mastermind of the team. So, other teams will have to work extra hard to get them down.

“I’m just going to go out there every single game and every single snap, do my job, and play to the best of my ability,” Darnold said. “I know it sounds clichéd, but it’s true. You got to do it. Every single play here in the NFL. And if you don’t, you’re going to get beat.”

Darnold should become the consistent team signal-caller we saw last season. If he gives the team what Joe Namath provides, maybe the Jets will become better than the New England Patriots. But, is there really a chance for this to happen? The Patriots won’t let go of their throne, and the Jets will have to play extra hard to achieve that.
