New England Patriots Announce Their Offseason Schedule

The New England Patriots had enough time to relax and rest after winning the Super Bowl. It’s already April, and the Patriots’ offseason activities are already here. The NFL Draft is scheduled from April 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn., but New England has a lot more to do before the draft takes place.

The Patriots will start off the voluntary program on April 15th. Teams that hired a new head coach after the 2018 season have started their offseason workout programs on Monday. Restricted free agents will stop signing offer sheets on April 24, and April 24 is the final day for clubs to use their right of first refusal to their restricted free agents.

After the draft, the Patriots will have organized team activities May 20-21, May 23, May 29-30, and June 10-11. ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported that quarterback Tom Brady will follow a similar routine as last offseason and won’t take part in the voluntary workouts in order to spend more time with his wife and kids.

The mandatory minicamp will take place on June 4-6, and fans will get the chance to watch the Patriots roster getting into shape for the preseason.

“I think he’s very happy where he’s at,” Brady’s father said. “And I think it shows. I’ve never seen him more delighted than he was than at the end of postgame last week. I just think right now he’s very, very content in his life of football. He was able to spend that time in the offseason, which was very special. You need that. You need a little more rejuvenation than what you need when you’re younger.”

Tom Brady Sr. supported his son’s idea of skipping the voluntary portion of the exercises. Gisele and his kids loved all the time they had with Brady last year. Brady doesn’t need that part of the program because he knows his job really well. TB12 has been part of the NFL for 19 season, and he is ready for the next season. Are his rivals ready for Brady and his teammates? 2019 will be an amazing season, and we can’t wait for it to start off.
