Report: One Laker Wants To Be In Space Jam 2

LeBron James will be super busy this summer. The filming of Space Jam 2 will consume his time off, but that’s not his biggest concern. Sources reveal that LeBron has trouble finding basketball players to join his team. Well, that’s about to change as one of his teammates is willing to take part in the filming.

When asked if he will join the cast of Space Jam 2 during his interview with House of Highlights, Lonzo Ball said that it’s up to LeBron to decide. However, Lonzo didn’t miss the chance to say that he would love to have a role.

We can’t really figure out where Lonzo would fit in the template of the original Space Jam. He’s huge, and won’t really fit in the Muggsy Bogues role. Maybe he can be the point guard for the MonStars. Lonzo may not be what producers look for at the moment, but his name will sure add to the popularity of the show. Lonzo may have a cameo in a scene LeBron shots with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, it seems like LeBron and Warner Bros. will try to get a bigger name for the main cast roles.

Lonzo and LeBron are building a nice relationship.

“It was a dream come true for me,” Ball said of his chance to play alongside LeBron. “Watching him my whole life, it was everything I thought it would be. He’s not only a great basketball player but a great person. I looked at him like a big brother.”

When it comes to King James, he is really supportive. LeBron helped Lonzo deal with his problems in Big Baller, and even hinted that his younger player may go with the Nikes.

“Whatever the kid decides to do, whatever brand he comes with next — if it’s with Nike, obviously we would welcome him,” LeBron said of Lonzo. “I love the fact that he’s taking control of his [stuff]. I mean… that’s what’s really, really dope to me. Once I saw that story, I just seen a kid turning into a man. ‘This is my career and I’m taking this… I done had enough. If I’m not going to be successful, I’m not going to be successful on my terms.’ I love the kid regardless of what shoes he had on. But we shall see. I mean he plays well when he has on Nikes.”
