Stephen Curry Comments On Playoffs Without LeBron James, Lakers

LeBron James will miss the playoffs for the very first time since his 2004-2005 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Everyone knows that the playoffs won’t be the same without LeBron, including Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

“Obviously the rest of the league continues to go, a lot of talent, a lot of great storylines, people chasing championships. But he’s had an amazing run. Pretty sure he’ll be able to reset for next year and regroup,” Curry said. “It’s just different [with James not in the postseason].”

We can’t just ignore LeBron’s consistency.

“It’s different, but what is it? [Eight] straight Finals he went to?” Curry said. “I’m sure it’s a different experience for him, for better or worse.”

The Lakers had a terrible season. They were plagued with injuries, rumors, drama and roster mistakes. The Anthony Davis trade affected the self-confidence of the team, and the young Lakers didn’t want the idea of being traded.

LeBron played 55 games in his debut year in LA, and averages 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game.

Head coach Luke Walton will bear the consequences of the bad season. Curry feels for the former Warriors assistant coach.

“All the injuries they had and expectations coming in with obviously LeBron James joining your team, it goes through the roof. But everything is a process. This league is tough, man. It’s hard to win basketball games no matter who you have on your team. …

“Honestly wish the best for him in terms of the future because who knows what will happen. But he’s a great coach. Anybody would be lucky to have him leading the team.”

Curry isn’t the only superstar to talk about LeBron’s absence at the playoffs.

“I feel for him,” Kyrie Irving said. “Obviously just missing a lot of time, as well as Brandon Ingram. But Bron as always been a championship contender. An he’s such a great player, such a great teammate. When you’re not eligible to qualify for the playoffs, it’s hard, I can only imagine. Like I said, I feel for him. I feel for him. I really do. I feel for him. I’m very empathetic towards it because how much he wanted to play during that time when he messed up his groin.”
