Tim Tebow Releases Huge Statement Over Tom Brady’s Greatness

Tim Tebow was great in college, and Tom Brady has an incredible pro career. These two crossed paths in 2013 in the Patriots’ training camp.

Tebow is now pursuing his dream of playing in MLB as a New York Met now with the farm team in Syracuse. The Triple A club visited Pawtucket and we all know it is related to the Red Sox area. So, getting a question about TB12 was an inevitable part.

“I think he’s the best to have ever done it, for a lot of reasons,” Tebow said about the Patriots quarterback. “I have so much respect for Tom. He was so nice to me when I was there. I feel like we had a friendship going in and we still do. He’s someone that always handles himself with a lot of class, very professional. He treats everyone the same. That means a lot to me that he’s not different around some people than he is around others, and I really appreciate that. You know sometimes when people have that much success, they can treat people differently, and he’s very humble that way.”

If you ask Tebow about the greatest Brady thing that amazed him, he would say it’s his clutch gene.

“I think Tom’s one of the best in my lifetime in any sport of handling those ‘moments,’ with the pressure packed in. Just look at all those Super Bowls. A lot of them have come down to those moments,” Tebow, 31, said. “One of the things as an athlete I respect so much about him is he’s his best when it’s needed the most. I think there are very few athletes you can say that about, but for the great ones, I think you have to say that. … That’s one of the things I love about his game because very few people are like that.”

Tebow had trouble adjusting to Triple A pitching. In his first seven matches, he hit .120, going for 3-for-25 with two doubles and 10 strikeouts.

“I wouldn’t say the velocity is harder, but I would say command (is better),”  Tebow told Syracuse.com. “It’s just adjusting and trying to get into the swing of things early in the season.”
