Tom Brady Makes Epic Joke Before 2019 NFL Draft About Being 6th-Round Pick

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is the best football player in the NFL. However, he was the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft. This gave the GOAT an inspiration, and had an excellent advice for the soon-to-be-rookies. The 2019 NFL Draft is about to start, and Brady encouraged young players to stop worrying.

His joke was hilarious.

“Good luck to everyone waiting to hear their name called tonight. Remember, there’s more than just going in the first round!” the quarterback tweeted.

This tweet was followed by another one, and yes, you get the joke. Hopefully.

Earlier this month, Brady celebrated his draft anniversary and posted a photo of himself.

19 years ago today the @patriots took a chance on the guy in this photo: Me (199) . Thank you to EVERYONE who’s helped me to prove them right!

Also, did they stop taking these photos after mine??” he wrote.

Brady played just one game in his rookie season. In 2001, he replaced Drew Bledsoe after the quarterback suffered an injury, and you know the rest.

TB12 will definitely be remembered as the best quarterback in the entire history of football. He’s fourth all-time in passing yards (70,514) and third in touchdowns (517). Brady owns the record for most Lombardi Trophies for one player.

Brady is this successful thanks to his love for the game. He is unstoppable, and the Patriots like that. That’s how they won this many championships.

“I just love it and I love playing,” he said a couple of months ago. “Like I said, many of those things are still the same. I loved playing then, I still love playing now. I don’t take anything for granted, I really don’t. I enjoy it. I think we all work hard at it but to get to this point is really exceptional. I’m proud of the guys for making the commitment and it’s certainly not easy. I think everyone at this point is tired and worn down but at the same time, you have one of the great opportunities in your life. This is a memory you’ll have forever and I really hope we can go out and take advantage of it.”
