Watch: Julian Edelman Starring At Hilarious Smoothie Commercial

Super Bowl LII MVP Julian Edelman knows how to attract everyone’s attention, and his fans really like the Cake Butter Supreme smoothie.

Many say that the Cake Batter Supreme is their favorite recipe. It packs some great nutrients, and Edelman knows what he is talking about.

The Patriots’ receiver is all about healthy living, but he sure likes to eat hamburgers as long as they are simple and delicious. Edelman is also into hard workouts, and his super high-intensity 30-minute regimen was created by trainer, Brian Weller. It involves tons of crunches, lunges, push-ups, planks, gorilla squats, mountain climbers, stair climbs, and much, much more.

If you ask Edelman, he doesn’t even think of stopping.

“I can remember going home after a long day of working out, and my dad would always say, ‘Did you beat those four guys?'” he said. “I’d say, ‘What are you talking about, Dad? I was working out alone.’ He says, ‘The four guys that are coming to take your job.’ You’re always trying to out-work someone.”

Edelman likes hamburgers, but he sure counts calories. He said, “I’ll go out to restaurants at night sometimes, but I countpretty much every calorie.”

After workouts, the receiver refuels with a shake created by dietician Denise Barry-Alvey. It packs protein and other healthy nutrients. “I try to pack all my nutrients into a smoothie right when I wake up.”

Let’s go back to the “cake batter supreme.”

Here are the ingredients Edelman uses:

2 cups of ice

1 spoonful of almond butter

Agave syrup

2 spoonfuls of Greek Yogurt

6 to 8 ounces of soy milk

one serving of protein powder

1 1/2 cups of Cinnamon Puffins

Does Edelman like cheating? Of course, he has cheat days just like every human being on planet Earth.

“I go with the 80/20 rule,” Edelman said. “Eighty percent clean eating, 20 percent reward yourself.”

Edelman’s career has been going up and down, but he was named the Super Bowl MVP this year. His season started with a four-game suspension, and ended up with a MVP award. So, yes, maybe we should follow his example.
