Watch: Tom Brady Connects With Edelman On Deep Ball In Offseason Workout

The New England Patriots have a quiet offseason, and they didn’t cause too much chaos in free agency. The 2019 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday, and the team is deep into the offseason training program. Quarterback Tom Brady is expected to miss the voluntary portion of the training, and he won’t join his teammates until training camp. However, Brady doesn’t miss an opportunity to gear up for the upcoming season. The GOAT did some work at Boston College’s indoor facility Tuesday. He was accompanied by his favorite target – Julian Edelman.

Brady and Edelman had an excellent connection on a deep ball as reported by BC football’s assistant director of player personnel Joe Sullivan.

TB12 found Edelman 10 times in Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, and the receiver was named the Super Bowl MVP. The team will sure need every bit of Edelman’s talent in the 2019 campaign. They may also consider boosting their WR depth chart.

Bleacher Report Tyler Dunne released an excellent article about the Green Bay Packers. This was the perfect opportunity to discuss the relationship between TB12 and Edelman.

“So there was Jennings, a Viking himself in 2013. He could tell Packers receivers were scared just to say hello with Rodgers likely hyperanalyzing their every move from afar. To him, that’s sad. It shouldn’t be like this. He sees the relationship Brady has cultivated with Julian Edelman, with all of his receivers, and says, ‘Everyone wants that.’ Those two spend time together off the field, and it carries into what matters on the field. Brady builds bonds for life, and that can be the difference between division titles and Super Bowls.”

“I trust him so much,” Edelman said of Brady prior to the AFC Championship Game in January. “We put in so many hours together in the meeting room, in the film room…He’s always kind of been like my little brother, in a good way. He knows how much I love him. What he’s done with his career has been incredible.”

When it comes to Brady, he says Edelman is his younger brother. He said, “He’s always been kind of like my little brother, in a good way. I don’t have a little brother, but he’s kind of like a little brother and he knows how much I love him.”
