Kevin Love Addresses About The Possible LeBron James-Ty Lue Reunion

The Los Angeles Lakers parted ways with Luke Walton, and LeBron James’ fans are already excited about his possible reunion with Tyronn Lue. There is a great chance that the Lakers hire Lue, and he is remembered as LeBron’s coach who helped the Cleveland Cavaliers win their first title. According to Kevin Love, hiring Lue would be a “great decision.”

Love appeared on FS1’s “First Things First” and talked about the potential pairing.

“I love Ty Lue. I think it would be, definitely, if he’s not their first pick he should be right there at the top. Because he’s an unbelievable X’s and O’s guy, a players’ coach, a guy that’s very approachable that you can talk to, and I think that the personnel that they have, he would be great.

“As well as already having, feeling familiar and being familiar with LeBron and having that not only friendship but being able to coach LeBron and get in his ear because Ty really knows the game and he’s been around.”

“He’s an L.A. guy,” Love said. “It doesn’t always work well for people like that but I think that Ty Lue is a guy that he’s made to coach a team like LA and either inherit or take over a great team like we had [in Cleveland] but also build a culture, build a team and know how to deal with each and every player as an individual.”

“I think one of the messages Ty Lue wants to get through to Rob Pelinka is, ‘I’m not here to be LeBron James’ coach,” Wojnarowski explained. “I’m here to coach the Lakers. I’m going to coach the whole group.’ I think one of the misnomers of Ty Lue’s time in Cleveland was, listen, he challenged LeBron James. He was hard on LeBron James at times. He’s not there to just be his caddy, and I do think that commanded LeBron’s respect. And I think that will be a big part of the conversation have.”

The Lakers will have to make a few changes now that Magic Johnson and Luke Walton are gone. Is Lue the right person to replace Walton?
