Watch: Julian Edelman Destroys Jets Heckler In Front Of Odell, Saquon

There’s a strange sort of rivalry between the New York Jets and New England Patriots. The Jets are way behind New England, and they are well aware of that. Everyone knows that. It’s funny how Jets fans act like their favorite team is the best team in the league. This story involves a Jets heckler, Julian Edelman, Odell Beckham and Saquon Barkley.

The NFL players were having some great time at the post-Met Gala party at the Standard Line Hotel in New York. But, a strange incident happened as they were leaving the party. There was a guy who started trashing the NY Giants right after he spotted Saquon and Odell.

“Saquon, sorry buddy, Jets fan!” he said.

Edelman couldn’t resist the urge to respond to this person, and actually defended the two Giants players. “I’m a Jets fan, too. Every time we play ‘em, we win,” Edelman said. Burn!

This is actually true. Edelman joined the Patriots in 2009, and his team has a 16-5 record against the Jets. How do you call it? Domination? Of course!

Edelman and his friends continued to party, hoping that Jets fans will learn their lesson.

The New Yorks Jets are well aware of the fact that the Patriots are much better than them. Adam Gase admitted it in one of his press conferences.

“I like being in this division,” Gase told reporters. “I always have felt like you want to compete against the best… They’ve done this for a long time. And you know where you stand when you play those guys, and you compete against them twice a year, and you have to go head-to-head with them within the division against the same teams they’re playing. You find out where you are really fast.

“My point to the whole thing is: We’re behind. They got a big head start — multiple years, a decade-plus, almost two. So, we have to work. When we’re in the building, we have to do everything we can to keep getting better, because we’re playing catch-up.”

But, he also encourages the team to think about the future, and focus on their improvement.
