Report: Lakers Front Office Being Urged To Trade LeBron In Shock Development

Magic Johnson’s retirement triggered an avalanche of changes in the front office in Los Angeles, and LeBron James may be involved into a trade deal.

The Los Angeles Lakers won’t hire former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue, and that was just another surprise for the team.

Lue turned down a three-year deal worth $18 million as he was hoping to sign a five-year contract. The former Cavaliers coach wanted a salary that will match his championship-packed resume.

The Lakers will now focus on another person. Maybe they will accept Lue’s conditions after all.

The team has been plagued with a lot of problems in the past few months. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith says there may be another shock development in near future.

He said that Jeanie Buss is urged to trade her greatest player this offseason.

“I just got off the call with a couple of people,” he said on ESPN. “One person told me it was the length of the contract to Tyronn Lue along with them trying to pick some of his staff that turned him off. He was insulted by that notion, so that had a lot to do with it. And I had another person telling me, nothing is out of bounds right now.

“‘We don’t know what the hell is going on in Los Angeles.’ You’ve got folks around Jeanie Buss imploring her to trade LeBron James. He does not have a no-trade clause and now you haven’t given him the coach that he wanted. LeBron James has quietly been about the business of trying to get Kawhi Leonard to come to the Los Angeles Lakers instead of the Los Angeles Clippers. So making a move like this by not bringing in the coach that he wants in Los Angeles, you never know what dominoes are going to fall right now. Whether or not it’s going to affect free agents coming to L.A., whether or not it’s going to affect LeBron James STAYING in L.A.”

That would be the most shocking move in Los Angeles. Will they lose LeBron James? What will happen next in the front office?
