Photos: Release Date For ‘Triple Black’ LeBron James x John Elliott Icon QS Revealed

LeBron James’ debut season in Los Angeles didn’t go well, and he missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2004-05 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. But, his deal with Nike keeps fruiting, and we have the release date of the triple black version of the LeBron James x John Elliot Icon QS.

The gorgeous shoe has the midsole tooling of the LeBron 8, and the colorway includes black detailing contrasted against translucent panels on the upper. The Icon QS first had a white upper and was released last August.

“There are three forces at work — the John Elliott brand connects to Nike and the LeBron brand connects to Nike,” Elliott said of the partnership when it was debuted.

“Nike gives both an opportunity to explore, to employ a huge range of solutions and to make sure that you’re solving for problems. Although our brand is able to innovate in various textiles, with Nike we have a whole new set of options.”

The collaboration also included several pieces of clothing. The black colorway will be presented for pre-sale at the John Elliott Los Angeles store on May 22.

A bigger release will happen on May 25 on SNKRS, the John Elliott store, johnelliott.com, Kith Soho and kith.com.

We’ll have another #LeBronWatch release on May 24. After paying homage to Bo Jackson, LeBron and Nike will honor Andre Aggasi.

The LeBron 16 “Hot Lava” is coming in black and white uppers. Both feature detailing from the Air Tech Challenge 2 that Aggasi had when he hit his first grand slam final at the 1990 French Open.

The Lakers star is pretty busy at the moment despite all the problems he has in the franchise. LeBron joined the Los Angeles Lakers in order to win more games, but 2018-19 was a disaster. The team lost Magic Johnson and Luke Walton, and there are several trade rumors related to the star player. Will the Lakers sign another big star? Let’s see what happens next in the franchise. Will they sign Kevin Durant or Kawhi Leonard? Pundits say no. Things are getting really messy.
