Patriots Veteran Free-Agent Numbers… Jamie Collins Picks Surprising Digit

The New England Patriots have the numbers for their veteran free agents, and linebacker Jamie Collins got a temporary number in his return to Foxboro.

Collins will wear No. 8 for organized team activities as reported by the Patriots Thursday. The linebacker will have to switch his number before the start of the regular season.

The linebacker had the No. 8 in college at Southern Mississippi, and wore No. 91 in his first tenure with the Patriots. He was No. 51 in Cleveland. Defensive end Deatrich Wise wears No. 91 at the moment, and linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley rocks No. 51. Here’s the list of the other numbers other free agents received.
