ESPN Reporter Makes Bold Two Predictions About New England Patriots

Rob Gronkowski shocked the world of NFL with his decision to retire. Many believe that he will return at some point in the next season. ESPN’s Jeff Darlington was the last to discuss Gronk’s return, and he made a bold prediction for the New England Patriots.

Darlington believes that N’Keal Harry will lead the AFC East in receiving.  His second prediction suggest that Gronk will return to the field.

“My bold prediction was N’Keal Harry will lead in the AFC East in receiving,” Darlington said. “First of all, I think Tom Brady is going to find quickly that this is a great weapon for him to have. And again, I love the fact that (Bill) Belichick invested in an offensive weapon for Tom Brady, which he doesn’t always do. But I should say, my bold prediction really should be Rob Gronkowski returning to the Patriots. … Rob Gronkowski is back on the field by Week 9. Put it on the bottom line. Put it on the ticker.”

This sort of confirms what Gronk’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said of the possibility that the tight end reunites with his team.

“This is me speculating,” Rosenhaus said. “This is nothing that Rob and I talked about specifically. I don’t want to get anybody’s hopes up. Rob Gronkowski is retired and it’s unlikely that he will ever play football again. however, I did close my conversation with Rob yesterday when he called to tell me he was going to retire, and I said, ‘Rob, just keep in mind that if you ever have a change of heart, you can come back and play. I’m sure the Patriots would welcome you with open arms. If it’s sometime during the season. if it’s late in the year. if you feel good and want to come back and play, we’ll make it happen.’ That’s all. It was just a suggestion. I couldn’t let go without leaving that in Rob’s ear.”

There’s a deadline for Gronk’s return, and we do hope that he will come back on time. The Patriots need him to win another Super Bowl. However, the tight end is pretty determined about his decision.
