ESPN’s Ryen Russillo Reveals Bold Details About Lakers’ LeBron James Trade Rumors

There’s been a big wave of rumors clashing against the Los Angeles Lakers, and one of them involves the potential trade of LeBron James. Will team owner Jeanie Buss really trade her best player? ESPN’s Ryen Russillo has a theory about this.

Russillo talked on his The Russillo Show podcast. He said, “Stephen A. came out and said people close to Jeanie Buss were saying you should trade LeBron and we found it was people from her spin class.”

Russillo made these comments after Stephen A. Smith talked about the possibility that LeBron James leaves the Lakers via a trade deal.

“Nothing is out of bounds right now,” he said. “We don’t know what the hell is going on in Los Angeles. You’ve got folks close to Jeanie Buss imploring her to trade LeBron James. He does not have a no-trade clause, and now you haven’t given him the coach he wanted.

LeBron James has quietly been about the business of trying to get Kawhi Leonard to come to the Los Angeles Lakers instead of the Los Angeles Clippers. So making a move like this, by not bringing in the coach he wants, not securing the coach he wants in Los Angeles, you never know what dominos are going to fall right now.”

According to Smith, the whole thing started with a bunch of “Hollywood people.”

Trading LeBron is absolutely impossible. The star has three championships, four league MVPs, three NBA Finals MVPs and 14 All-NBA selections. The Lakers brought him in town to compete for more championships. Giving up on their best player will definitely be a surprise.

Los Angeles had a terrible season. It was a terrible season for LeBron, too. He missed the playoffs for the first time since his 2004-05 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Anthony Davis saga was the final bullet Los Angeles players were shot with. It destroyed their self-confidence and the relationship in the locker room.

Smith had a few good reasons to start off this convo, and one of them is Tyronn Lue.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that, “Negotiations between the Los Angeles Lakers and Ty Lue have reached an impasse without a deal to make him the franchise’s next head coach, league sources tell ESPN.”
