Lakers Giving Kyrie Irving Another Big Reason To Consider LeBron Reunion

The Los Angeles Lakers had a terrible season and they missed the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year. The team will also have to hire a head coach and ink a deal with an All-Star. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and a few other players may sign a deal with the Lakers, and the team has given Irving another reason to agree to a deal.

Irving and the Boston Celtics are trying to handle the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the NBA playoffs. The Lakers may sign Irving’s old head coach, Tyronn Lue, and we all know what that means. Lue coached Irving and LeBron James and helped them win a championship in 2016. Lue will probably reach an agreement with the Lakers, and that would help Irving make a decision a lot easier.

Irving is one of the key free agents in the summer. He will probably opt out of his $21.3 million final year with the Boston Celtics. Irving will be available in July, and his next contract will start at $32.7 million. NBA execs say that he may join the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.

The Lakers may also be considered a threat in case Irving tries to get the team back together.

In January, irving talked to media members about his relationship with LeBron James. He apologized for his behavior in Cleveland, and he sort of understands that he made a mistake during their time together. Irving is the lead player in the team, and he faced a lot of pressure alongside his younger teammates. That’s why he called LeBron.

“I had to call [LeBron] and tell him I apologized for being that young player that wanted everything at his fingertips … I wanted to be the guy that led us to a championship. I wanted to be the leader. I wanted to be all that, and the responsibility of being the best in the world and leading your team is something that is not meant for many people.”

Let’s see if Irving makes his way to Los Angeles. Some say that Kevin Durant may sign a deal with LeBron’s team.
