Lakers Sent Major Anthony Davis Revelation After Pelicans Win No 1 Pick

The New Orleans Pelicans won the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft Lottery, but things hasn’t really changed within the franchise. The Pelicans will probably lose their star player, and Anthony Davis won’t shut down his plans to play somewhere else.

There were rumors suggesting that getting the No. 1 pick would help the Pelicans bring another huge player and convince Davis to stay. However, The Athletics’ Shams Charania reported that Davis won’t change his mind in near future.

The Pelicans were expected to land the No. 9 pick in the draft lottery, but they got the No. 1 overall pick despite the fact that they had 6 percent chance to get this pick.

The team will not be given a chance to land Zion Williamson in the June 20 draft. This got people talking, and now everyone is interested in Davis’ future with the team.

Williamson and Davis would greate a perfect duo for any team in the NBA. however, when Davis explained his decision to bring out a trade request earlier this year, he said that he wants to be part of a team that’s ready to compete for a title at the moment. Williamson won’t change the Pelicans future next season and that’s not what Davis looks for.

Charania reported that Davis will seek a trade away from the franchise this summer.

“The New Orleans Pelicans are now set up to be Zion Williamson’s franchise to lift, and No. 1 pick could ease potential trade of Anthony Davis,” he tweeted. “His stance on a trade has not changed, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.”

Is this is true, this may turn into a blessing for the Pelicans. Davis is just 26 years old, and his best basketball is yet to come. The trade package for Davis will have to involve a few talented players.

Will this give the Los Angeles Lakers some hope to sign Anthony Davis? They have already tried to sign him and even offered most of their young talents. But, the Pelicans didn’t accept the offer. They will now have a chance to get a bunch of good players.
