LeBron Is Reportedly Recruiting These 4 NBA Stars To The Lakers

The 2018-19 season isn’t over yet, and the Toronto Raptors will meet the Golden State Warriors in the Finals next week. The recruiting season will soon start. Well, LeBron James is already recruiting NBA stars.

King James spent his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers as the only star player on the roster. The team missed the playoffs, and LeBron is ready to change that in the upcoming season.

Four NBA stars have been mentioned as targets for Los Angeles – Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis.

Leonard is playing for the Raptors, but he comes from California and maybe he will be interested in going back to Southern California.

Butler had his season with the Philadelphia 76ers.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that the Lakers star has contacted these players.

“From what I understand, he has already begun the recruiting process. I’ve heard he has had contact with Kawhi Leonard. I’ve heard he has had contact with Jimmy Butler. There is no tampering enforcement by players. … The thing about it is, I don’t know if texts and calls and maybe a dinner with LeBron is enough for the Lakers to overcome the hurdles that they’re going to have.”

There’s also a good chance that Irving joins the Lakers despite his trade request from the Cleveland Cavaliers. His relationship with LeBron has improved a lot, and he is ready to take the challenge. These two has already had contacts in the offseason.

Davis is the biggest target for LeBron and the front office in LA. His contract situation in New Orleans is rather serious, but Davis has already expressed his willingness to join a different team. Davis has one year left of his deal, and the Pelicans won the No. 1 pick. Things may get even more complicated. It’s more than obvious that the Pelicans don’t even think of giving up on their star player.

The free agency period will begin on Sunday, June 30. It will be really important for the Lakers, and hopefully, they will be able to turn their plans into reality. Let’s see what happens next.
