LeBron James Reacts To NBA Draft Lottery

The NBA Draft Lottery was revealed on Tuesday and the New Orleans Pelicans ended up with the No. 1 overall pick which they will use to select Zion Williamson. Here are the full lottery results:

  • No. 1: New Orleans Pelicans
  • No. 2: Memphis Grizzlies
  • No. 3: New York Knicks
  • No. 4: Los Angeles Lakers
  • No. 5: Cleveland Cavaliers
  • No. 6: Phoenix Suns
  • No. 7: Chicago Bulls
  • No. 8: Atlanta Hawks
  • No. 9: Washington Wizards
  • No. 10: Atlanta Hawks (via Dallas)
  • No. 11: Minnesota Timberwolves
  • No. 12: Charlotte Hornets
  • No. 13: Miami Heat
  • No. 14: Boston Celtics (via Kings)

The Pelicans came in with a 6 percent of getting the No. 1 overall pick and got it. the team will probably use their win to select Zion Williamson and rebuild the post-Anthony Davis squad. Maybe Williamson will be used as a trade bait to bring another star who would be enough for Davis to stay with the team. Davis hasnt changed his plans, and he definitely wants to leave the team. but, regardless of his decision, the Pelicans are in a much better position  at this moment. They weren’t this good before the lottery. This was a huge night for the Pelicans, and now they have a real option to build a strong team forward with or without Davis.

The Los Angeles Lakers were projected to get the No.11 pick, but they jumped to No. 4. This gives the Pelicans another valuable trade chip to add to their big offer for the Pelicans star. Even if they don’t get Davis, they will sure have a big chance to get Kevin Love or Bradley Beal. The Patriots better play smart with this pick and try to get a quality player for their young core.

Lakers star LeBron James reacted to this development. “#4 Beautiful,” he wrote.

Things are getting really interesting in the NBA. The draft lottery will change the future development of events. Teams have a big chance to sign better players and strengthen their roster. The Lakers will use this to add another good player, and improve their chances to sign an All Star this summer.
