LeBron James Reveals Never-Before-Told Obsession In Latest Interview

LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players of all times, and it seems like he has a little obsession that gets him fueled for games.

In one of his latest interviews, the Lakers star talked about his obsession of candles, adding that he always lights one in his hotel rooms.

“I have to light a candle in my room on every road trip while I’m in my room,” he said in an interview with GQ. “It has a lot to do with the energy of the universe. I’m very high on that — I actually get that from my wife.” We knew it was Savannah.

“But I also just love the smell of candles,” he added. “You know, hotel rooms can have a stagnant smell. I think a candle gives it a fresher smell. I can bring some home with me, it makes me very comfortable. So the energy, the essence, behind a candle, and also the smell quality of just keeping me as comfortable away as I am when I’m home.”

What’s his favorite kind? LeBron likes Diptyque’s Baies candle, and enjoys how it gives “a tangy coolness of freshly picked blackcurrant berries.” If he runs out of his favorite candle, he goes to the nearest gift shop.

“If I run out of candles, I’ll actually walk down to the gift shop at the hotel and see if they have good ones,” LeBron explained.” Any time I’m staying at the Four Seasons — I don’t know the brand that they work with, but they have great selections of candles, and I will pick from them.”

So, LeBron packs candles every time he stays somewhere else. He actually has two bags, and one of them is full of shoes. Big shoes.

“I’ve got one bag that’s just dedicated to my shoes, because my shoes take up so much space,” LeBron said, adding that he also packs his toiletries, iPad and game film.

Well, he will need a lot of candles to get that energy going this summer. The Los Angeles Lakers are looking for a big star, and they will need all the luck in this world to get one.
