Look: LeBron James Wears New Rare Nikes… The Fear Of God

Lakers star LeBron James is the luckiest man on planet Earth. Well, that’s what sneaker lover say. LeBron gets to wear the coolest shoes ever, and The Fear of God is the ultimate piece he was seen wearing. What makes these shoes so special? They aren’t even on the market.

LeBron invited a bunch of NBA stars, including Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Tristan Thompson in his LA home for the Memorial Day Weekend. It was the perfect opportunity to show off.

The Nike Fear of God 1’s won’t come out until this weekend, but LeBron got to wear them. You can get these shoes for $1,000 on the secondary market. Wow.

Nike FOG 1 colorway was sold out within seconds last year. These will have the same destiny. What did LeBron and his friends do? They smoked cigars, drank adult beverages and watched The Godfather.

LeBron has already released the John Elliot x Nike LeBron James Icon shoes, and the sneaker is crazy.

“There are three forces at work — the John Elliott brand connects to Nike and the LeBron brand connects to Nike,” Elliot said. “Nike gives both an opportunity to explore, to employ a huge range of solutions and to make sure that you’re solving for problems. Although our brand is able to innovate in various textiles, with Nike we have a whole new set of options.

“We have a colorway that is coming out in the not-so-distant future that is completely his call. It’s something I’m so proud of that there is that open dialogue between the two of us and we can get on the phone or shoot over texts and trade ideas. He’s literally sending me inspiration. It shows how unique he is. He’s been so influential in my growth, not only as a designer but as a human.”

LeBron’s former teammate, Thompson, liked the shoe, too.

“I think it’s amazing what John and LeBron have done with the collaboration, especially with basketball and sports right now,” said Thompson. “All athletes want to be fashion-forward. We want to show that we are more than just athletes. And what John did with the ultimate goal of collaborating with Nike and LeBron and bringing those two worlds together.” Thompson went on to rave about the versatility of his personal favorite John Elliott staple, the Escobar sweatpants. “I can wear them during the day, to the nightclub, to dinner.”
