Tom Brady Salutes Bruins For Reaching Stanley Cup Finals

Boston is getting ready for another championship. The Bruins completed the sweep of the Carolina Hurricanes to win the Eastern Conference title. This gave themselves a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals. Boston has the chance to win the third championship in the calendar year. The Red Sox won theirs in October, and the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII. Will the Bruins get the chance to bring yet another Stanley Cup to town?

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is one of the greatest supporters of the Bruins. The GOAT supports the team from afar as he is getting ready for the 2012 season. Brady sent a message to the Bruins and commented on Zdeno Chara’s Instagram post.

He wrote, “Great win. You guys are on [fire]!! #MadeForThis”

“It’s been a special group since Day 1,” said Patrice Bergeron. “You need everybody to be a part of it and contribute. It’s been that way, that’s the only way you can really advance. There’s a lot of work in front of us, but it’s a special feeling tonight.”

The Bruins reached the Stanley Cup Final for the third time in the last nine years. They hoised the Stanley Cup in 2011.

“As you get older, you appreciate it even more and you realize how hard it is to get to this point and advance,” Bergeron said of playing alongside Brand Marchand, Tuukka Rask, David Krejci and Zdeno Chara. “You’ve got to be thankful and stay in the moment…we basically kind of grew up together, we’ve been around for so long. It’s been a fun ride to be a part of these guys as the core group, the leaders that have been through a lot, ups and downs.”

“It means a lot,” said Rask. “It’s so difficult to advance in the playoffs, let alone make it to the Final…we need to really enjoy this, but realize we have a lot of work to do. The past few years, we’ve really built something special. We have a great group of guys. Really happy to be a part of it.”
