NBA Media Rips Raptors Fans For Cheering Durant’s Injury

The Golden State Warriors were lucky enough to have Kevin Durant back on the floor for some time. Well, they could have used him a little longer than 12 minutes. The two-time Finals MVP went down again and fans were shocked when they saw that he is holding his right heel. Durant has already injured his calf, and fans thought that he suffered another similar injury. Well, it turns out that Durant had something else, and Raptors fans were happy about it.

The Warriors were in the lead at the half. Stephen Durant and Klay Thompson were really good, and they had their best game on the floor. Draymond Green was active and springy, and DeMarcus Cousins was of great help, too.

Kevin Durant’s injury was the last thing the Warriors hoped for. The star injured himself during a collision on the offensive play with the Raptors’ Serge Ibaka. The calf injury turned out to be an ACL injury. We all know what that means.

Warriors president of basketball operations Bob Myers was really emotional and shocked. He couldn’t even hold his tears.

“It should’ve been a night of triumph, proof that Golden State was as much grit and guile as splash and flash. And yet Myers was just torn up, a face full of questions and regret and pain.

“The initial injury was a calf injury. This is not a calf injury.

“It’s an Achilles injury,” Myers said. “I don’t know the extent of it. He’ll have an MRI tomorrow. … I don’t believe there’s anybody to blame. But I understand this world. And if you have to, you can blame me. I run our basketball operations department.”

Durant took to Twitter to express his emotions after the Warriors’ win over Toronto. He likes to say it was like “a shot of tequila.”

“I’m hurting deep in the soul right now I can’t lie,” Durant wrote. “But seeing my brother get this win was like taking a shot of tequila, I got new life. #dubs”

Everyone was devastated except for the Raptors fans. They cheer for injuries. Steph Curry’s sister took to Twitter to express her anger. “I told y’all. They cheer here for injuries. Hockey mentality maybe?
