Watch: Steph Curry Facetimed Drake After Losing NBA Finals

Toronto defeated Golden State 114-110 in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. This ended the Warriors’ quest to cement their dynasty with a three-peat after winning the last two NBA championships. While the outcome was uncertain, especially at the end, the Warriors simply did not have enough firepower to overcome the Raptors.

The star of the night, however, was Steph Curry, who took a FaceTime call from Drake after the game and even congratulated Drizzy on the victory.

Drake was fired up seeing the Raps win their first ever NBA title on Thursday night and decided to hit up Steph (probably to gloat).

But Curry was being a real sport and seemed to be in good spirits, despite the loss.

“Congrats, bro,” Curry could be heard saying to Drake. “Tough one. I hate seeing it.”Enjoy it, man — it’s big time for you. You, the whole city, the whole, everybody. Y’all deserve it, man. Congrats.”

Drake was even able to get an official championship hat, even though he was watching the game from Jurassic Park in Toronto.

He also sent his love to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson — who tore his ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

The Warriors’ general manager Bob Myers remains confident the organization can retain Thompson and Durant this summer, despite rumors.

“All I’ll say is that those guys are highly important to us,” Myers said, “and deserving of being rewarded in the right manner. … It’s hard to find high-quality people, and both of them are that. And so you just — try to keep those guys within these walls the best you can.”

The Warriors are just hopeful that Thompson and Durant can start their recovery process and that both will decide to re-sign with the team.
