Jonas Jerebko Thanks Warriors Fans For First Season With Golden State

Jonas Jerebko thanked Warriors fans for the brilliant support throughout his first season with the team. Jerebko thanked all of DubNation on Monday through an Instagram post. He couldn’t believe it was just a year.

Jerebko signed a one-year deal with the Warriors last July.  He was a perfect stretch-forward off the bench, but sometimes he was really inconsistent. The big man from Sweden played in 73 regular season games for the Warriors, and was part of the starting lineup in four occasions. He averaged 6.3 points which is his most since the 2012-13 season. Jerebko also grabbed 3.9 rebounds per game.

The 32-year-old was called upon as a 3-point threat, but his shooting from beyond the arc went from 41.1 last season to 36.7 this season. In the playoffs, he shot 26.3 percent on three-pointers.

Jerebko is really optimistic about his future and he may hope for a bigger deal next season, but this was probably his only season with the Warriors.

“What a season this was,” he wrote on Instagram. “Was amazing to be part of the last year in Oakland and Oracle Arena. Can’t stop thinking about the way it ended and it will probably be that way for a long time. Thanks to all of dubnation and everyone around the world who been supporting me. Feel like I’ve been a Warrior for longer than one season. Learned a lot from all the great people around me this year. Let’s see what the future holds! Now back home to Sweden for the summer.”

The comment section was flooded with compliments on his success. Some hope to see him wearing a Warriors uniform again next season.

“We appreciate you and your contributions. Hope to see you wearing a Warriors uniform next season!”

The Warriors lost the chance to win another title, and the Toronto Raptors were more successful in the Finals. Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson suffered serious injuries, and Durant will probably miss the entire next season. The Warriors will look a lot different next season. Was this the end of their dynasty? Let’s wait and find out.
