Report: Robert Kraft To Receive Israel’s Distinguished Genesis Prize

Patriots owner Robert Kraft has made so many trips to Israel. He donates money to causes throughout the country, especially in Jerusalem. Kraft has shared his love for Israel with his players, and has brought a lot of pro football players to Israel’s cities and holy sites. “Touchdown in Israel” has become a tradition, and Kraft is on his third tour at the moment. He brought 15 current and past Patriots players to support him while receiving Israel’s Genesis Prize.

US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman welcomed the Patriots owner in at his residence. Kraft has already confirmed that he will distribute his one-million prize to organizations and initiatives focused on combating antisemitism.

Andre Tippett, Drew Bledsoe, Scott Zolak, Vince Wilfork, Ty Law, Kevin Faulk, newly-added assistant coach Jerod Mayo, and current Patriots Stephon Gilmore, Stephen Gostkowski, Joe Thuney, Nate Ebner, David Andrews, Isaiah Wynn and Brandon King are all part of the trip.

“I want to welcome you all,” Kraft said in his brief speech. “I hope this turns out to be one of the greatest weeks of your life. There are connections that will be made that will just be life-changing. Let’s have a good time.”

“I hope it’s going to turn out to be one of the greatest weeks in your life,” Kraft added. This is over 100 times I’ve gone [to Israel], and the first time I went on my honeymoon with my sweetheart, it just changed my life. You’re in this spirituality, there are connections that will be made that will just be life-changing. It will give you a sense, an internal sense, of what a special experience.”

“Robert Kraft’s visit to Israel next week represents a very important milestone in the fight against anti-Semitism, BDS and other efforts to delegitimize the state of Israel,” said Stan Polovets, chairman and co-founder of the Genesis Prize Foundation.

“By accepting the Genesis Prize and declaring his commitment to confront the evils of anti-Semitism head-on, Robert has also accepted a tremendous amount of responsibility. Responsibility to speak up against hate. Responsibility to lead. And responsibility to unite.”

The Patriots owner is still on his trial for soliciting a prostitute, but the prize foundation chairman Stan Polovets supports him. Kraft will receive his award in Jerusalem on Thursday.
