Julian Edelman Gets Roasted In Latest Documentary Teaser

Julian Edelman will have his documentary released this summer. The Patriots nation can’t wait to watch the documentary, and “100% Julian Edelman” is a must-see.

Edelman had another teaser for the documentary on Monday. It features several stars, including Tom Brady, actor Mark Wahlberg, comedian Bill Burr and Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy. Each of these roasted the receiver in their own distinctive way.

This documentary won’t take itself too seriously, and may offer some lighthearted moments as it shows Edelman’s path back to the field after recovering from his torn ACL. It also provides details of Edelman’s PEDs suspension.

“When injury and controversy threatened Julian Edelman’s NFL career, he returned to his father, an auto mechanic, to fix what was broken,” a statement from Showtime reads when describing the base of “100% Julian Edelman.” “100% is an intimate behind the scenes look at the three-time Super Bowl Champion during a critical juncture in his life. After a dramatic victory in Super Bowl 51, Edelman suffered a devastating knee injury that forced him to miss the entirety of the 2017 season. The film joins Edelman as he attempts to overcome the challenge of a season ending surgery and PED suspension all while exposing the unorthodox origins that built him into one of the NFL’s most affable stars.”

Rapper Snoop Dogg, former NFL defensive end Michael Strahan and former NFL cornerback Deion Sanders will also appear in the piece. Michael Rapaport narrates Edelman’s documentary.

Edelman was more than happy to announce his documentary.

“If you would have told me when I got hurt two years ago that ‘100%’ would be the result, I wouldn’t have believed you,” Edelman said in the statement.

“I’m excited to finally announce my new feature documentary, 100%: Julian Edelman on [Showtime],” the receiver added on his official Instagram page. “Keeping this project under wraps has been tough, a lot of highs, a lot of lows, a lot of surreal moments. Just glad we had a camera rolling so we could make this thing our way.”

The documentary will be released on June 28 at 9 pm ET on Showtime.
