Kevin Durant Reportedly ‘Pissed’ at Warriors Over Achilles Injury, Plans To Leave

Kevin Durant recovers from the surgery he had to repair his ruptured Achilles tendon. He is expected to become free agent this summer, and his injury changed his plans. Sort of.

Kyrie Irving may also become free agent, and some say he is unhappy with his current team. The same applies to Durant.

It turns out that both stars plan to join their skills. If you prediction involves seeing Durant and Irving play in Madison Square Garden together, you may be right.

Durant’s injury may keep him sidelined for an entire season. He is “pissed” at the Warriors over his Achilles injury. Oh, and let’s not forget that he and Irving have already met twice to “discuss their desire to continue their careers on the same team.”

Durant is on his way out of the Golden State. It’s more than obvious that he is frustrated.

Boston Celtics big man-turned NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins provided a shocking Durant update Friday on ESPN’s “The Jump.”

“I think the Nets are the front-runner to land KD,” he said. “I think they’re the front-runner – I absolutely do. I’m not ruling out the Knicks, but I think the Nets are the front-runners and people are not giving them their [respect]. Sources tell me that the Nets are the front-runner — we’ll leave it at that.”

Perkins and Durant were on the same team for four seasons in Oklahoma City. They are also close friends, so Perkins has a good reason to make this comment. He knows Durant really well.

The Warriors shouldn’t have allowed Durant to play. His calf injury wasn’t healed, and it put him in a big trouble. Ruptured Achilles tendons don’t heal overnight, and Durant knows it. The Warriors put him on the floor too soon, and the Achilles injury changed his plans.

Let’s hope that Durant won’t miss a big portion of the season, and the Warriors should get used to idea of losing him for good. Durant is pretty serious about his plans, and he won’t let anyone take control over his decision. He isn’t someone who allows other people to make decisions for him.
