Rob Gronkowski Visits Soldiers At Fort Gordon Army Base

Now-retired Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski visited the Fort Gordon Army Base, and honored those who serve our country. Seeing Gronk among those soldiers was sure a nice thing, and we bet everyone had fun, including the tight end.

“Great day meeting the soldiers of our country and their family members! Patriot fans everywhere!” Gronkowski wrote on Instagram.

This isn’t the first visit of this kind for the retired tight end. The All-Pro tight end had a lot of fun before training camp last year. Gronk honored soldiers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. He had an autograph session at the Lewis Main Exchange.

“It’s just an honor to come here and see the men and women in uniform and see how happy they are to be able to come through and get a picture and autograph from me,” he said at the time. “It’s a blessing too at the same time, and I want to thank everyone, all the men and women in uniform, for fighting for our country. They’re our real heroes.”

Fans lined up hours in advance for a chance to get a photo and autograph with Gronk. The tight end signed shirts, footballs and other items. He took photos and made everyone happy. He was happy, too.

The tight end is still in the middle of every retirement-related rumor. Many say that Gronk will return to the field next season. That would be great, because the Patriots need every help they need. New England has built a strong roster, but Gronk will always be welcomed.

If you ask his girlfriend, Sports Illustrated swimsuit supermodel Camille Kostek, she will say that Gronk won’t come back.

“I think he is messing with everybody, then again he stumps me all the time so who knows?” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019 cover girl said. “He could be pulling this out of the woodwork at some time. I would love to see him out there, but I am also respecting him taking this time for himself, healing up his body, and enjoying the time off.”

“It’s been a fun time already, and I think one of my favorite things that he ever said was he was excited to take a back seat and check out the things that I was up to, like I have for him sitting back in the stands.”
