Julian Edelman ‘Selfishly’ Wants Josh Gordon Reinstated Because He Balls

Patriots receiver Julian Edelman us getting ready for the release of his documentary, but he is also busy lobbying for the reinstatement of Josh Gordon. Edelman talks about his documentary, and discusses Tom Brady’s power and Bill Belichick’s leadership. Oh, yes, Edelman loves hype videos, too. He even makes his own.

When it comes to Gordon, Edelman said he wants him back. The receiver went on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast, and used the opportunity to say that he would love to see Gordon back on the field.

“It’s a life situation and you’re pulling for him for that — to get better,” Edelman said. “And selfishly, I want him because he’s a really good football player and he can help us. I don’t know anything (regarding when/if he could get reinstated) going into it. Like, legit. Like, I’ve asked 30 people inside the organization and outside (the organization), like, ‘Do you know what’s going to happen?’ And no one knows not one thing. So we’re just kind of sitting and waiting to see what the circumstances are going to be with him because he’d be a really good tool to have. He balls.”

Edelman also compared Belichick and Brady in terms of their leadership.
“I mean, I think they have different personality traits but there’s still similar core intangibles of preparation, work, discipline, sacrifice,” the receiver said. “Those types of things are very similar, but how they handle each other — completely different. Tom is a little more outgoing. He’ll get up on you sometimes if he needs to. Bill, it’s kind of different.”

Will Gordon come back in near future?

“Directly I have not spoken to him since his last suspension,” Goodell said leading up to the Super Bowl in Atlanta a few months ago. “I do know he’s in treatment. He’s a young man who has had a lot of challenges. I have gotten to know him and understands his struggles and the challenges that he’s had to go through and he’s working at it. He understands what he has to do. He understand the importance for him — And this is well beyond football. This is for his life. — to make sure he takes care of himself and he understands the importance of getting this issue under control and being able to live a healthy and long life.”
