LeBron James Likes Painted Kawhi Leonard’s Lakers Mural

NBA free agency is about to start, and many teams will to hunt down a big star. Teams and players will be allowed to meet and discuss potential contracts beginning at 6 p.m. E.T. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers need another star on the roster, and Kawhi Leonard is heavily linked with the team.

LeBron keeps making moves that make us think this way. His latest like on Instagram added more fuel to the fire. King James liked an Instagram photo of Kawhi Lakers mural in Los Angeles. That’s a cool mural, and LeBron’s like is even cooler than that.

LeBron, Kawhi and Anthony Davis would build the best Big 3 in NBA.

Stephen A. Smith reported that the Lakers are already favorites when it comes to signing Leonard.

“I got word the Los Angeles Lakers are to be taken seriously. They will be a team that’s strongly considered for Kawhi Leonard to arrive to.

“Kawhi Leonard was coached by Steve Fisher. Steve Fisher’s got a connection to Rob Pelinka. Rob Pelinka’s been working that angle.

“LeBron and Kawhi have a very good relationship. They’ve been texting throughout the year. Obviously, Kawhi has worked out from time to time with Kobe. He grew up a Laker fan.

“…. This notion that the Lakers should be summarily dismissed is wrong. Kawhi Leonard is strongly considering the Los Angeles Lakers. Plus, New Balance would prefer that he be in LA rather than Toronto.”

Magic Johnson promised to help in the process, and we already know that Leonard would only meed with him and Lakers owner Jeanie Buss. However, the NBA says no. Ramona Shelburne reported that the NBA won’t allow Johnson to take part in any negotiations because he is no longer part of the front office.

“Magic Johnson says he will help the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency in any way he can, but he is not permitted by NBA rules to be part of official team meetings with prospective free agents. Johnson said he has not been asked by the Lakers or owner Jeanie Buss to participate.”

Bill Oram of The Athletic made a similar report. “After Magic quit on April 9, there was an understanding between the Lakers and NBA officials that Magic could not be part of any recruiting efforts in free agency. All sides agreed the perception (as we’re seeing today) would be terrible.”
