DeMarcus Cousins Shares Hilarious Airport Photo Featuring Injured Warriors In Wheelchairs

The Golden State Warriors are plagued with injuries, and they play without Kevin Durant. The team lost Game 1 and won Game 2 of the NBA Finals, and DeMarcus Cousins returned to the floor. This time the star player decided to joke on the current situation of the team.

Cousins shared a photo of two players, and let’s just say that this was the ultimate joke.

What makes Cousins this joyful? Well, he was awesome in Game 2, and had 28 minutes on the floor. He had 11 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and a pair of blocks.

Head coach Kerr is happy with the development of events.

“He was great,” the head coach said. “We came in thinking, ‘All right, he can maybe play 20 minutes,’ and he gave us almost 28. There was only one time in the game when he needed a rest, which was mid-fourth, and we gave him a couple minutes and then got him back in the game. But he was fantastic and we needed everything he gave out there—his rebounding, his toughness, his physical presence, getting the ball in the paint, and just playing big, like he does. We needed all of that.”

Stephen Curry is also satisfied with how Cousins came out of his injury.

“People don’t understand how tough it is mentally and how lonely it can be,” he told Michael Lee of The Athletic when discussing Cousins’ rehab. “It’s not just that he made it back, it’s that he’s appreciative of the moment.

“He could’ve healed from injury but been a different person – grumpy, bitter, not accepting the role that he has now because it’s different than what he expected. That’s the most impressive part. Not that he healed. The recovery is what it is. But the fact that he’s been such a great teammate, accepted the role of how he can help us win.

“Yeah, that lets you know what kind of guy he is. That’s a hard truth that most people wouldn’t be able to take in terms of where he was – where he’s going to be able to get back to – and where he is now in this between time.”
