Golden State Warriors Receive Klay Thompson’s MRI Results

Klay Thompson left Game 2 of the NBA Finals due to a hamstring injury, and now we have more details regarding his diagnosis. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Thompson’s MRI results came out.

The MRI showed that the Warriors All-Star shooting guard suffered a strained hamstring, and will probably be listed as questionable for the team’s game against the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Oracle Arena on Wednesday night.

Early on in the fourth quarterback Thompson suffered an apparent hamstring injury during the awkward landing on a 3-point shot attempt. The shooting guard did a split while coming down on the shot attempt.

Head coach Steve Kerr said that the hamstring injury Thomson suffered is minor.

“Klay said he’ll be fine, but Klay could be half dead and he would say he would be fine,” Kerr said. “We’ll see. He pulled his hamstring. He thinks it is minor, so I don’t know what that means going forward.”

“I caught up with Klay Thompson on the way out of the arena,” Mark Medina tweeted.” Klay about his hamstring: ‘I’m good. It’s just tight.’ Does Klay think he’ll play in Game 3? Klay: ‘Honestly, it’s hard to say. Thank God we got a couple of days off. But I think I’ll be good to go.’”

Thompson seems to be in a good shape. He even trolled Drake after the game.

“We’ll see you in the Bay Aubrey,” Thompson said to Drake, and called him by his government name. “You weren’t talking tonight were ya? Bum ass… That was light work, too.”

Kevin Durant joined the exchange.

“It’s all right. It’s OK. We got more games to play,” Durant added. “Pick your head up. It’s OK.”

Thompson is still involved in rumors, and some believe that he will leave the team.

“’The season is still ongoing,’ Lacob explained in one of his interviews when asked about Thompson’s future with the team. ‘We are not finished. I have no new ideas or data for you. We love Klay and KD and intend to attempt to re-sign them. Period. I am confident about BOTH of them.’”
