June 24, 2019
Patriots receiver Julian Edelman is more than a Super Bowl champion. He is a Super Dad, too. In his documentary, “100% Julian Edelman,” the receiver will reveal the tiniest details about his daughter, career, and family life. Moreover, he is more than excited to show off his dad side.
some unbelievable shots of me and my daughter,” he said. “That was dope.”
Edelman has a daughter with Swedish model Ella Rose. He always posts photos and videos of Lily, and this documentary will give us a rare glimpse into his dad life.
“It was, like, just great memories.”
“When injury and controversy threatened Julian Edelman’s NFL career, he returned to his father, an auto mechanic, to fix what was broken,” a statement from Showtime read about the new documentary. “100% is an intimate behind the scenes look at the three-time Super Bowl Champion during a critical juncture in his life. After a dramatic victory in Super Bowl 51, Edelman suffered a devastating knee injury that forced him to miss the entirety of the 2017 season. The film joins Edelman as he attempts to overcome the challenge of a season ending surgery and PED suspension all while exposing the unorthodox origins that built him into one of the NFL’s most affable stars.”
We can’t wait to watch the documentary, and you?
Edelman couldn’t see this coming. This documentary was a pleasant surprise for him, and he couldn’t even imagine that things will take this turn. In 2018, he struggled with several issues, including a four-game suspension.
“If you would have told me when I got hurt two years ago that
‘100%’ would be the result, I wouldn’t have believed you,” he said. “Showtime
has been amazing. It turns out making movies is a lot of fun.”
more than excited to tell everybody about his documentary. He is definitely
proud of himself.
“I’m excited to finally announce my new feature
documentary, 100%: Julian Edelman on [Showtime],” he wrote on Instagram. “Keeping this project under wraps has been tough, a
lot of highs, a lot of lows, a lot of surreal moments. Just glad we had a
camera rolling so we could make this thing our way.”
When it comes to fathers, Edelman’s dad Frank will also appear in the documentary. He had a huge role in Edelman’s career after all.
“He’s kind of like my little mechanic with my mind sometimes,”
Edelman said. “He’s like the life coach doctor sometimes. Even though he pisses
me off, but then I realize it’s good to have him around.”
