Julian Edelman Shares Awesome Video Training Together With His Father

Patriots receiver Julian Edelman had a perfect ending of the 2018 season, and his father is the reason Jules was named the Super Bowl MVP. Frank helped his son become a football star, and Edelman is really grateful for that.

Edelman wished his dad a happy Father’s Day, and thanked him for his support.

“Always in my face, and wouldn’t have asked for it any other way. Happy Father’s day to the original Edelman,” the receiver wrote.

Frank was actually the first pirson to introduce the receiver to football. They worked to “crazy little drills” when Edelman was growing up. In one of his interviews, Edelman said his father helped inspire his work-ethic as a professional.

“He showed me work ethic by how much we practiced, but he also led by example — by being a small-business owner, waking up at 5 a.m., getting to the shop, doing what he’s gotta do, and then coming home, working with me, and coaching after-school sports,” Edelman said. “It’s one of those things where he not only taught me through constant repetition through practice — and as a kid you learn, the more you practice the better you are — but he also showed by example.”

Being a dad was a big challenge for Edelman, but he enjoys every minute of it. Lily is a cute little girl, and Edelman likes working out with her. She is his favorite workout partner. Sorry, Tom Brady.

“One hundred percent,” he said when media members asked him if the girl had changed his life. “When you become a pa, you have different priorities now and you’re not living for yourself, you’re living for someone else now. It’s pretty cool to go out and experience success and having your little human that’s just running around saying “Da-Da” that doesn’t know anything is going on. She’s like a little good luck charm. It’s unbelievable when you get to see her after a game. The feeling has changed. My whole family’s been a part of my road with how close we are and to welcome her in, it just makes it bigger and better.”
