Klay Thompson Injury: Golden State Warriors Make Surprise Decision On Game 3

Klay Thompson convinced everyone that he will play in Game 3. However, the Golden State Warriors have something else to say.

The Warriors had an injury crisis in Game 2, but they wer able to win the game over the Toronto Raptors.

Kevin Durant is sidelined due to an injury. Stephen Curry played through Game 2 dealing with a mystery illness. Andre Iguodala was down for a short time, and Kevon Looney is officially out.

The team is worried about Thompson’s injury. He landed badly after his three-point attempt, but was still in the game. He had to leave the game in the fourth quarter, and the Warriors confirmed that he is out.

Thompson tried to downplay the hamstring injury, and said it wasn’t serious. Moreover, he was confident about his participation in Game 3.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne reported that the Warriors won’t let Thompson play in the first of the two back-to-back home games.

“Reporting with @ramonashelburne: Golden State officials prefer Klay Thompson sit out Game 3 to protect his sore hamstring for the rest of the NBA Finals,” Wojnarowski tweeted.

“But Thompson has continued to lobby them on playing tonight. Decision looms prior to tip.”

The Warriors will have to take care of Thompson. There’s growing speculation suggesting that he may leave the team this summer.

Skip Bayless said the Toronto will win this game. “Toronto will win Game 3 at Oakland with or without Klay Thompson,” he said Wednesday morning on FS1’s Undisputed.

Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker said the same thing. “If Klay Thompson’s not able to go and Kevin Durant is not playing, the Warriors don’t have a chance to win this game tonight.”

So, everything depends on Thompson’s role on the field.

The Warriors are plagued with injuries. Too many players are injured. Looney is out, Curry was playing with an illness, and few others are injured, too.

Let’s see what happens in Game 3. Will the Warriots defeat the Raptors? Will Drake attack the Warriors again? He likes talking stuff about Curry, Green and the rest of the guys. He’s a Raptors fan, remember?
