LeBron James Issues Champions League Rallying Call

Lakers star LeBron James is all-in when it comes to supporting Liverpool. The team aims to claim the sixth European title against Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid. The Anfield club enjoys the support of many celebrity supporters, but LeBron has the greatest championship experience. The four-time NBA ‘Most Valuable Player’ hyped fans with his call, and this Championship League got our full attention.

LeBron wrote a tweet right before the kick-off, and he wished the team “Good luck today.”

We believe LeBron has more invested in the final result of this game than most fans. The Lakers star owns 2 percent of the English side since buying stock in the club in 2011. LeBron is reported to have grown an initial investment of $6.5 million into a total amount today of $32 million per reports a year ago.

“Sources said James received a 2 percent stake in Liverpool in April 2011, when his marketing firm, LRMR, agreed to a joint venture with Fenway Sports Partners. Fenway Sports Partners is owned by Boston Red Sox owner John Henry and chairman Tom Werner, who bought Liverpool for a bargain $477 million in October 2010,” Rovell wrote.

LeBron’ business partner, Maverick Carter, talked about the club.

“It has been a thrill to watch such a storied club make their way back to the top again and to be a part of it all. LeBron likes the fact that he’s diversified in another global sport.

“It has been an honor for us to be in on this deal with Fenway Sports Partners’ John Henry and Tom Werner. It has been a thrill to watch such a storied club make their way back to the top again and to be a part of it all. LeBron likes the fact that he’s diversified in another global sport.”

LeBron recognizes greatness, and he is definitely happy to support Liverpool. We’ve seen him support great players, and he has every reason to support the team. Liverpool has his full attention, and if the club wins this title, things will become really interesting. What will happen tonight? Is Liverpool winning the game?
