LeBron James Told Of Key Development In Anthony Davis Trade Negotiations

The Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t reach an agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans, but Anthony Davis is still their primary target. The Pelicans didn’t like Magic Johnson’s offer despite the fact that he offered almost the entire young core.

Well, it looks like the Pelicans are ready to re-negotiate with Jeanie Buss’ team.

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin says the Pelicans have a “really high opinion of Brandon Ingram.” This will probably work for the Lakers.

The Pelicans didn’t want to let Davis go, and decided to wait until the summer.

David Griffin replaced Dell Demps, and did his best to convince Davis to stay. New Orleans won the NBA Draft Lottery, and the team hopes to keep Davis on their roster.

It looks like Davis won’t change his mind. Playing alongside Zion Williamson would be great, be he likes to play somewhere else.

The New York Knicks and Boston Celtics may come up with an offer.

McMenamin believes that the Lakers can use Ingram to get Davis.

“I spoke to several people within the Pelicans’ organisation in the past several months that have a really high opinion of Brandon Ingram,” he said on The Sedano Show. “And beyond just Brandon Ingram, have a really high opinion of the trade package that was on the table that was ultimately rejected.”

Griffin has already shard his opinion on Ingram. “Literally this kid doesn’t even have total control of his extremities yet,” he said previously on The Sedano Show. “He’s so long, he’s got like that newborn deer lack of core strength.

“For Kyrie Irving to say that he thought [Ingram] was defensively tough for him is a huge statement by Kyrie. And it says a lot about the fact that Brandon is making big strides in his core strength.

“Earlier this year, I saw him get blown by like he was nailed to the floor at times against point guards. He’s very quickly adjusting. That’s a big deal. He’s 21 years old. It defies the imagination. How old was Victor Oladipo when he hit for Indiana? And [Ingram] is way more physically gifted than Oladipo.”
